Which he, at whose work?

I bump in to lots of people... I mean LOTS - (I have a fairly varied history around this town)

Some I know, and can remember names and where I know them from... but it gets kinda fuzzy when real/forum/game names - (and some people with multiple identities) get involved.

Some I know that I know, some I think I know, some I know, but know I can't talk to as they could be working and don't want anybody to know who they are... (ex and not so ex coppers and private investigators mainly) Some I know, but don't want to be seen talking to - I worked in the Courts for ten years so I know lots of cops and crooks... and lawyers - And who wants to be seen talking to lawyers.

And there's a whole lot of people I know, but don't know their names...

And trying to put a forum name to a face or real name is sometimes a problem.

I'm still not sure which face on that Thursday goes with the name Andrew... (And it will probably be one of those D'oh moments when I do)

Yeah, I work with Thunder, which is it only clicked then who you were when you said G'day to him.

I was the poor lad who stood there while you worked on the server there.

Probably wouldnt realise who I am, admittedly I've only LAN'd with you a handful of times.

Its all good =)

Hey chainsaw, remember me?
...Ahhh doesn't matter if you do or not, just wanting to know if you still worked where you did early last year?

As *hopefully* and if I get my bloody resume done before Friday... I'll be working with you shortly. =)

I'll keep this updated as to what happens. Looking FORWARD TO IT! ...Getting a new job that is! =P

Best of luck...

We aren't really all that difficult to get in to...

And that would be because we aren't all that good at keeping staff...

But if you don't expect too much, its a job, and there are SOME places that are pretty good...

Ta!

Managed to get my resume updated and emailed in on Friday, so going to see what happens in the up coming week. =)

I believe the new relationship they have with ACT Education, is what makes me attractive for them, as I already have much of the experience they seek.

I get the sense that a lot of departments aren't too good at keeping staff, well at least from my angle; having Trainees for two years, ITO1s and ITO2s etc. There is generally a shuffle about every couple months, heck there is big one happing right now where I am! ...Or was, as I've kinda moved out a little.

Yeah, not expecting a great deal, just a job that's stable, pays good (Three times what I'm on now), experience both on-site and helpdesk, and funding for personal development. =)

Stable = not very exciting = this place

Pay good = Whoo-boy are you getting paid poorly now!...

Onsite and helpdesk = compulsory rotation introduced July 1

Funding for personal development = pretty good... as long as you can show that it is relevant, and preferably useful, to the org.

Yeah, the novelty will definitely wear off... But uhh I'm pretty enthusiastic about most things. =)
Poorly paid? Eh? ...Oh well yeah, Trainee... They pay for my education = little $$$ in return.
Yup, was told about the new rotation... Sounds alright to me, it’s something different.
I’ll probably do MSCE or something CISCO to start off with.

Otherwise, INTERVIEW TOMORROW! (Well, today technically.)

EDIT: OMG!@#$ Just HAD IT! ...Wooo! Hehe I think I did alright; being my second job interview ever and all. =)

Imp: Not telling...

Only because it will annoy you...

(but let me tell you, it's nothing exciting, spooky, innovative or life saving/threatening... well that last bit is kinda true for us... but not some of our clients)
